Jersey’s credentials as a centre for international private wealth management have been further underlined after being named Best International Finance Centre for the fourth time in five years at the WealthBriefing Europe Awards 2017.

The WealthBriefing group of newswires for the private client community is published by ClearView Financial Media, a well-respected and fast growing media group. Its European awards, now in their fifth year, recognise and celebrate excellence across the European wealth management arena. Designed to showcase ‘best of breed’ providers in the global private banking, wealth management and trusted advisor communities, the awards recognise those which have ‘demonstrated innovation and excellence during 2016’.

Former Channel 5 presenter, Emma Crosby, presented the awards during a gala black-tie dinner, at the Guildhall in the City of London.

Commenting on Jersey's repeat triumph, Geoff Cook, CEO of Jersey Finance said:

“The consistency of winning this sought-after award is a testament to Jersey’s enduring focus on evolving as a jurisdiction, attracting new business from around the world, and of always pursuing the highest standards of regulation and cooperation.

“The fact that Jersey’s strengths in the areas of regulation and high-quality financial services are being recognised in this way, year on year, is very encouraging and shows to investors and other stakeholders why Jersey is still considered a top International Finance Centre.”

ClearView Financial Media’s CEO, and Publisher of WealthBriefing, Stephen Harris, was first to extend his congratulations to all the winners, saying:

“The firms who triumphed in these awards are all worthy winners, and I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations.  These awards were judged solely on the basis of entrants’ submissions and their response to a number of specific questions, which had to be answered focusing on the client experience, not quantitative performance metrics. These awards recognise the very best operators in the private client industry, with ‘independence’, ‘integrity’ and ‘genuine insight’ the watchwords of the judging process.”
